We are General Practitioner Chartered Surveyors carrying out all types of professional work including Surveys, Market Valuations, Expert work including Retrospective Valuations and Negligence matters, Compensation work, Valuations for Marital Disputes, Probate, Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax purposes.

In addition, we have a highly-respected division specialising in Lease Extension and Enfranchisement matters under the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 and 2002 Commonhold Act.

We also offer Energy Performance Certificates for every type of residential property.

Our Surveyors

Alan Cohen – FRICS IRRV

He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a corporate Member of the Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation. He is the father of James and Andrew.

The scope of his work includes Valuations for most purposes including retrospective and Capital Gains tax valuations and all matters under the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 and the 2002 Commonhold Act, Homebuyers reports, Compensation Work under the Land Compensation Acts 1961, 1973 and the Compulsory Purchase Act 1965. Rent Reviews and lease Renewals, Rating Work etc. He has acted on numerous occasions as an expert witness on behalf of the Court, etc. He is responsible for quality control within the practice.

James Cohen - BSc (Hons) FRICS IRRV

James is a Chartered Surveyor with many years’ experience in Greater London and environs.

He graduated from the now called University of Westminster with an Honours degree in 1988. He is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and is an RICS Registered Valuer.

He specialises in condition surveys for all types of residential property. The scope of his work includes Building, Homebuyers and Economy Surveys.

In addition, he carries out Valuations for most purposes including for retrospective, marital, probate and tax purposes. 

He has acted on numerous occasions as an expert witness on behalf of the Court, etc. and is responsible for maintaining a statistical database, going back approximately 30 years.

He carried out Council Tax Band Valuations for several thousand properties in The London Borough of Haringey in the 1990s.

He has much experience in Compulsory Purchase and Compensation matters in various schemes (including the M25 London Orbital Motorway, A406 North Circular Road and A1055 North/South Road, as well as various Urban Regeneration projects).

Andrew Cohen - MRICS

He specializes in all matters of enfranchisement and lease extensions under the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 and the 2002 Commonhold Act. He has attended many LVT hearings and has had considerable success for clients.

The scope of his other work includes property management, valuations, schedule of conditions, rent reviews and renewals.  He is responsible for the general administration and financial control of the practice.
